The Number #1 name in Trailer Parts Opens its 20th Branch

Byron, Georgia - - Redneck Trailer Supplies the number #1 distributor of brand name trailer parts proudly announces the Grand Opening of its 20th branch at 308 James E. Williams Dr. on September 1, 2009. The branch’s normal business hours are 8am -5pm Monday – Friday.

Redneck Trailer Supplies began in 1979 as “Redneck Trailers and Supplies”, a manufacturer building gooseneck trailers. These gooseneck trailers were primarily painted red and that was the start of the "Redneck" name. This beginning as a trailer manufacturer was important because, from the very start, Redneck has understood the needs, concerns, and values of those in the trailer manufacturing industry.

In those early manufacturing years, one of the major problems Redneck faced in common with all other trailer manufacturers was finding good sources for trailer parts. It soon became apparent that one of the greatest needs in the industry was a centralized vendor location where a broad variety of parts could be purchased, especially parts for stock, utility, marine, and agricultural trailers.

In 1981, in response to these problems, Redneck made a change in direction, shifting from manufacturing trailers to trailer parts distribution, with the goal of becoming the most reliable source for trailer parts in the industry.

The beliefs that guided that transformation are still at the heart of Redneck’s marketing philosophy today. FIRST, Redneck carries a full line of parts in stock to provide customers with a broad choice of the top brands in the industry. SECOND, Redneck has the ability to ship orders the same day they are received in order to reduce lead time for customers and cut their inventory investment. THIRD, Redneck is committed to shipping all customer orders correctly, avoiding mistakes that cost both time and money to customers. FINALLY, Redneck will strive to be competitively priced.

The first Redneck Trailer Supplies branch opened in September 1981, in Springfield, Missouri, which is also the site of the company’s administrative offices. Team members at these offices provide support for Redneck’s customer service mission in areas such as Accounting, Information Systems, Human Resources, Purchasing, Marketing, and Merchandising.

As Redneck’s customer base spread, new branch warehouses were established: Wichita, Kansas, in 1982; Hampton, Iowa, in 1984; and Normal, Illinois, in 1986. In 1989, the fifth branch opened in Pennsylvania. In the spring of 1991, yet another branch opened in Sikeston, Missouri.

In June 1991, with the acquisition of H&S Trailer Parts, a major supplier in the trailer parts industry immediately doubled the number of Redneck branches with locations in Muscle Shoals, Oklahoma; Sulphur Springs, Texas; Frederick, Colorado; Tuscumbia, Alabama; and Shelby, North Carolina.

November 1992 brought another branch opening in Columbus, Ohio. Other branches followed: Tampa, Florida (1993), St. Cloud, Minnesota (1995), our second Texas location in Arlington (1995), Caldwell, Idaho (1998), Fowler, California (1999), and Round Lake, New York (2003).

Redneck’s most recent branch opened in 2005 in Mira Loma, California. With 19 branches, Redneck has effective market coverage from the East Coast to the West Coast, which has enhanced and strengthened the customer service it can offer.

As a result, today Redneck enjoys a position of high value to customers and vendors alike. It is Redneck’s goal to continue to explore new, innovative ways to work together with both customers and vendors to constantly improve the quality of products and services.

As Redneck continues to grow, the company pledges not to lose sight of the original plan and purpose founder Ernie Giddens had for beginning the company. In his words, “Put the customer first and the rest will follow.”
