The NATDA Trailer Show’s New Product Display and Most Innovative Trailer Awards have been consolidated and rebranded to the NATDA Trailer Show Innovation Showcase. New, expanded entry categories also give even more NATDA Trailer Show exhibitors the opportunity to promote their newest products.

NEW ENTRY CATEGORIES
As part of its expansion, NATDA has organized the showcase into three categories – The Trailer Innovation Award, The Dealership Innovation Award, and the Manufacturer Innovation Award. More information on each category, as well as qualifications, are listed below:
The Trailer Innovation Award
The Trailer Innovation Award is reserved for physical products and components that would be used on a trailer or truck bed. This includes Axles & Components, Brake Assemblies, Brake Controls & Actuators, Cargo & Outdoor Gear, Chemicals & Coatings Electrical & Lighting, Hitches & Towing Systems, Jacks, Couplers & Winches, Suspension Systems, Tires & Wheels and Trailer Accessories.
These products will be physically displayed at the NATDA Trailer Show and must have been released after the previous year’s show.
Similarly to the previous New Product Display, products will be voted on by those in attendance of the NATDA Trailer Show, with the product with the most votes receiving The Trailer Innovation Award itself. 2nd and 3rd place will also receive recognition.
The Dealership Innovation Award
A brand-new award, the Dealership Innovation Award highlights the newest programs and services available to trailer dealerships. This includes programs in the following categories: Business Consulting, Electronic Payment Processing, Employee Benefits, Equipment & Tools, Financial Programs, Insurance & Warranty Programs, Marketing & Promotions, Software Solutions and Transport Logistics programs.
Though not physical products, these programs will still be highlighted at the show by utilizing meter boards spread throughout the Innovation Showcase area. Again, products will be voted on by those in attendance of the NATDA Trailer Show, with the product receiving the most votes earning The Dealership Innovation Award. 2nd and 3rd place will also receive recognition.
The Manufacturer Innovation Award
Formerly known as the Most Innovative Trailer or Truck Bed Award, the Manufacturer Innovation Award highlights the most innovative trailer or truck bed created since the close of the previous year’s show. The categories for this award are as follows:
- Cargo / Concession Trailer (Cargo, Concession, Mobile Office, Mobile Restroom, Refrigerated, Vending Cart, etc.)
- Heavy-Duty Trailer (Car Carrier, Drop-deck, Dump, Flatbed/Flat-deck, Lowboy, Tilt-Deck, etc.)
- Livestock Trailer (Horse, Livestock, Horse with Living Quarter, etc.)
- Recreational Trailer (Destination, Expandable, Fifth-wheel, Overland, Pop-up, Toy Hauler, Travel, etc.)
- Truck Bed or Service Body (Flat Bed, Stake Body, Service Body, Specialty Body, etc.)
- Utility Trailer (Landscape, Utility, etc.)
- Vehicle Trailer (ATV, Boat, Car Hauler, Jet Ski, Motorcycle, Snowmobile, Stacker, Tow Dolly, Vehicle Tilt-deck, etc.)
While certificates will be awarded to the product receiving the most votes (open to all attendees) in each category, the NATDA Dealer Advisory Council will determine who wins the overall Manufacturer Innovation Award itself.
Just like the rest of the awards, trailer or truck beds in contention for this award must have been released after the close of the previous year’s show and display some kind of innovative quality.
NEW REWARDS
Aside from receiving physical awards at the NATDA Trailer Show, all recognized winners (including 2nd and 3rd place) will receive free entry into the Winner’s Row display at the 2025 NATDA Trailer Tech Expo powered by NATDA in Reno, NV from February 25 – 27, 2025. Additionally, all award winners will be recognized at the 2025 NATDA Trailer Tech Expo’s awards banquet.
