Dealership Performance Training
Wednesday, August 31, kicked off the three-day event with a full day of Dealership Performance Training sponsored by Dura-Haul Trailers. This full day of sessions included Service, Human Resources, Operations, and Marketing classes – for a whopping total of 21 courses, the most comprehensive in the event’s history!
Wounded Warrior Project Keynote Luncheon
This year’s keynote highlighted NATDA’s 2022 designated charity: the Wounded Warrior Project®. The event was sponsored by TravAlong by Landoll Corp. Everyone was greeted by NATDA’s co-founders, Andy & Amy Ackerman who introduced NATDA’s new CEO, Rick McConnell, and President, Jennifer Hoff. The keynote speaker, Marine Corps veteran and America’s Got Talent contestant,Sal Gonzalez spoke about his time in the military and how the Wounded Warrior Project helped him regain his life and love of music after an attack during a tour of duty in Iraq.
Dealer Happy Hour
After a full day of ideas and inspiration, dealers made their way over to our Dealer Happy Hour sponsored by Alcom, LLC, B&W Trailer Hitches, Galeo, Rock Solid Funding, and Taskmaster Components. Dealers kicked off their first night in Nashville with food, drinks, and networking before heading out to explore the town.
Trailer Parts Expo
The Trailer Parts Expo allowed exhibitors to mix, mingle and do business. NATDA’s new CEO, Rick McConnell, welcomed exhibitors, and the night kicked off with musical entertainment from Kyle Mercer. While manufacturers met with OEM suppliers and other potential partners, the crowd was also treated to food and drinks on the exhibit hall floor.
Exhibit Hall Opening Ceremony
On Thursday, the Exhibit Hall opened. After a few opening remarks from NATDA CEO Rick McConnell, dealers and exhibitor veterans escorted in the American Flag for a moving presentation of colors and rendition of the National Anthem by local country artist, and military veteran, Kyle Mercer.
Expo Hall
A stroll around the exhibit hall floor revealed the latest trailers, parts, accessories and services. Attendees were treated to interactive exhibits, product unveilings, giveaways, games and more, including live recording sessions from the Women in Trailer Industry Podcast and the Full Send Podcast, both produced by Trailer Parts Outlet.
Wounded Warrior Project Check Presentation
On Friday, September 2, NATDA presented a check to the Wounded Warrior Project for $69,775, which was $19,775 over NATDA’s fundraising goal of $50,000. Included in this was a $27,000 match generously donated by NATDA’s co-founders Andy and Amy Ackerman.
NATDA and its sponsors raffled off the Ultimate Prize Package, which included a new Kymco UXV 4501 Platform (courtesy of NATDA and its sponsors) and donated items from Aluma Trailers, Blue Ox, FIRMAN Power Equipment, Galeo, Milwaukee Tool, Shelby Trailer Service, LLC, Snappin Turtle, Superwinch and TecNiq, Inc. Congratulations to the winner: Kathy DiGiovanni of DG Trailer Sales!
