extraordinary 48-year career with the company. Leon joined Eby in 1978, shortly after graduating from
Garden Spot High School, and has become a well-known and loved figure in the trailer and truck body
industry.
Leon began his career as a trailer and truck body builder, gaining hands-on experience with Eby’s
product line and production methods. His deep understanding of the company’s operations led him to
become a production supervisor for Eby’s livestock trailer line. Leon’s outgoing and encouraging
personality soon led him to work in the sales department, where he served in roles ranging from dealer
to retail sales.
Leon’s reputation as a product expert and trusted advisor helped him forge lasting relationships with
customers throughout the eastern United States and Canada. Known for his dedication and expertise,
Leon has left an indelible mark on both M.H. Eby and the industry as a whole.
“Leon’s contributions to Eby have been immeasurable,” said Travis Eby, company president. “His
knowledge, kindness, and ability to connect with customers and colleagues alike have made him an
integral part of the Eby family. While we will miss his daily presence, Leon’s legacy will continue to
inspire us for years to come.”
In retirement, Leon looks forward to spending more time with his wife, Linda, their three married
children, and eleven beloved grandchildren.
Messages of well wishes are appreciated and can be forwarded to:
