UFP Factory Built introduces LIGHTLID for Enclosed Trailers
Oct 31, 2024 UFP Factory Built introduces LIGHTLID for Enclosed Trailers Specifically engineered for enclosed cargo trailers, the UFP Factory Built LIGHTLID Translucent Roof offers many advantages over traditional metal roof. Built from 100% recyclable thermoplastic composite materials, LIGHTLID is tested and certified to perform over an aging life of 35,000 hours without any impact on top layer, substrate and overall integrity.
The translucent properties enable light to come in making it easier to load, unload, and work inside the trailer. The roof materials are both puncture and impact resistant that includes hail, debris, tree limbs and other forces of nature. It comes with a 5-year warranty.
Key Tests Performed for Performance, Durability and Reliability
• QUV Accelerated Weathering Test for resistance to rain, sunlight, dew and UV light
• ASTM D790 test for bending and stiffness
• Light transmissibility test to determine the level of brightness – results measured 400 LUX, equivalent to brightness in an office (150-350 Sq ft at 500-1000 LUX)
• FMVSS 302 test to measure the burn resistance capability of the roof panel
